How You Can Help ...

Sponsor a child directly (inquire about who need help, what is needed, and what it will cost as there are many forms of sponsorship, and the costs vary from region to region). Help can take many forms, from full school sponsorship to helping with books and school uniforms, or helping with medical issues. We help find funding or supplies for schools, and act as an intermediary for you to find ways to help. Feel free to ask us any questions!

We also help men and women with medical issues, and desperately need financial help.

FUNDS & CAUSES
A list of NGOs & INGOs that we either support directly or recommend. Also included are a few small, local organizations that we contribute to. If you would rather make a general contribution to the Kamzang Fund instead of supporting or volunttering with one of the listed below, we will assure that your donations go to good causes.

A Tribute to a Good Friend
Tsewang Gyurme
Samdo, Manaslu

Our good friend Tsewang Gyurme (left) died in December 2010 fighting a forest fire that threatened the grazing area of Samdo village in the highest reaches of the Manaslu region. His wife, Nima Dikki (right) recently recovered after four years of suffering from undiagnosed post-partem depression.

They have four adorable children, one a monk and the other three studying at local schools. We are looking for sponsors for these children to be able to send them to study at schools in Kathmandu, and any other help that we can give to the family. Tsewang Gyurme and Nima Diki live in a very simple house in Samdo, and spent most (or all) of their savings trying to heal Nima Dikki of her illness. Villagers (including her mother) assumed she was possessed by evil spirits until we came with a psychiatrist and were able to correctly diagnose her condition and supply her with the appropriate medication.

She had just lost much of the condiderable weight she gained during her four year depression/illness and was getting out in the fields and able to take care of the children again when her husband died. See
