We work together with several trekking, travel and hotel companies to make trek and travel arrangements in Nepal, India, Tibet & Bhutan. In Nepal we use Khumbu Adventures, Pvt Ltd. based in Boudhanath, Kathmandu. Tel: +(977) 01 4488352. We also use many individuals, employed on an individual basis.
It is a fundamental condition of booking that you acknowledge that this is an adventure trek or tour. This requires some flexibility and you may be exposed to dangers greater than in everyday life. You must sign a waiver and release as part of the booking.
Your booking will be confirmed by email once we have received:
1 - A $750 DEPOSIT for the trek
2 - A completed BOOKING FORM
3 - The web form ACKOWLEDGEMENT that you have read and understood the Waiver & Release.
We are flexible about how you pay the balance, but you must pay it at least 6 weeks before the tour begins as agreed upon with Kim and/or the trip leader. If you cancel within 30 days of the trek, you lose all money paid including your balance and deposit. If you do not show up in Kathmandu (Nepal) or Leh or India (Leh) on the agreed date we will assume you have been delayed and will wait for you to contact us with your new expected arrival date. If you do not contact us within 24 hours we will assume you have canceled the tour. There is no refund of any money paid.
We do not plan to cancel the tour but reserve the right to do so due to unusual or unforeseeable circumstances and/or circumstances that we judge to effect our ability to manage risks including but not limited to a natural disaster, political unrest, or war. If we cancel the tour we will refund all payments made to us, including the deposit. We shall not be liable to refund any additional expenses that you may have incurred (such as insurance, visas, vaccinations and other incidental costs).
Before joining the tour you must take out travel & travel medical insurance that includes trekking/travel over 4000 meters/10,000 feet. This should include adequate cover for baggage, medical expenses, cancellation, helicopter evacuation and emergency repatriation.
The trek information web pages give information and conditions relating to the tour and are deemed to be part of the contract and so you should be fully aware of their contents. However the itinerary is an indication of what the group should accomplish, but not a contractual obligation. Changes may be made because of exceptional weather, flight cancellations, sickness or other unforeseeable circumstances. No refunds are given for unused services or unrealized dreams. We do give sympathy though.
All information and advice provided (vaccinations, climate, trekking equipment, visas etc) is given in good faith but without responsibility by us.
You agree to abide by the authority of the leader.
If you have a complaint that cannot be dealt with immediately, or you are not satisfied with the response please notify us in writing within 10 days of the tour completion. We shall try to agree on a settlement. This process shall be governed by the laws of Nepal or India.
